| Hello darlings! I was flipping through a recent food magazine and came across these unique bottle openers from World Market. Aren't they the most charming things you've ever seen?! Not only do they look vintage and beautiful, they're a steal at under $10 a piece. I'm definitely getting a collection for my kitchen. And to make them feel a little more French, use one to pop open a bottle of Kronenbourg beer. I'm obviously more inclined to suggest a less common, fancier brew, but most of the nicer bottles in the French region have cork tops. Cheers! Chelle |

Snuggle Up
![]() |
| January is just one of those months when nothing sounds better than curling up in a cozy, comfortable blanket (some of my favorites shown here) and reading a delicious book. And when I'm feeling all snuggly and warm while whirling through words of wonder, I somehow always think back to when I'd curl up and read as a child. I could zip through long novels like they were See Spot Run! I tend to take more time to saver every word these days, but occasionally I'll run across a book that I just can't help but devour. My favorite: Year Of Wonders, by Geraldine Brooks. It makes me cry every single time! (And I've probably read it more times than I've checked my E-mail in the last year — it's just that good!) What are some of your favorite books? I'd love to hear some suggestions. oxox, Chelle This luxurious baby is just in at http://www.frenchcharmed.com/ |

Sweet Find
![]() | |
| Just a quick little post today, as I had to share this sweet little makeup bag I found! Wish I would have seen it before the holidays, but I'm thinking it could also work as a perfect Valentine's Day gift for my girls. Oh my gosh, did I just mention Valentine's Day?! I can't believe how fast time is flying by... Anyway, I'm off to the flower market now to get something pretty to brighten up this gloomy January day! Hope yours is fantastic! xoxo, Chelle |

Flower Power

Since my daughter moved to Hamburg, Germany, I’ve taken a little less time studying up on the shops and sights of Paris and spent a little more time doing the same thing for her German city. Don’t get me wrong: Paris will always and forever remain my true love — as well as the main attraction of this site! — but I have found that other places do have the occasional inspiring shop on the street, like this floral boutique/cafe called Himmel und Erde. Located on Hofweg in Hamburg, it never fails to bring a little spring in my step when I pass by.

Starlight Bungalow

You can always find beautiful things when antique shopping, but it’s rare to find a store with gorgeous displays worth remembering. That isn’t the case at Hunt & Gather Antiques in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The store is chalk full of creative product positioning, like this hauntingly beautiful cream room that evokes angelic peace and serenity. We can’t help but just want to curl up on the settee and just look in awe at all the lovely wonders. And of course, buy everything to recreate the look at home! Happy Gathering ~ Chelle
