This Post is about our very recent annual trip to Prince of Wales Island, Alaska. I am usually the only girl thrown into the mix of fishermen. This year however, I managed to bring along a very good friend of mine, Victoria. We stayed at a very lovely B & B, while the boys stayed at our fishing lodge. As this was a 4 day weekend, I will break the Post into 3 or 4 segments. Well then, let the journey begin ... P.S. The weather was a bit murky. Our dismal photos are proof of this.

6:00 a.m. Take Off! This is the Columbia River. Inside the circled trees above, is where I reside.

Farms are all around us.

We burst through the clouds to find a little blue sky.

8:00 a.m. Landed in Bellingham, WA to top off the tanks. Notice the lovely weather.

My Tommy the Pilot, and to the right our friend Joe.

11:00 a.m. Somewhere between Seattle, WA and Ketchican, Alaska

This is Ketchican & those small white strips in the water are Cruise Ships. The weather here is usually wet and gray.

View from the Cockpit. A bit of sun sneaking through.

Klawock, Alaska. We can barely see the runway through the rain.

12:30 p.m. YEAH!!! Another soft landing.
From here we had to drive about 50 miles to reach our destination of Thorne Bay. We walked around the town a bit, then hit the grocery store for dinner, as there is NO restaurant or cafe. We retired early in preparation of the next days big fishing adventure, which always begins at 0:00 dark thirty. So, I am finished for tonight and will Post Part Two of Alaska Adventure 2009 tomorrow! The photos will be a bit better, as the weather dried up some that next day. Nite!
