Whims-egg-al Easter

Some of my fondest memories of Easter are sitting at the dining room table with my girls, dipping eggs into small tea cups filled with purple, pink and blue-dyed water. Since both hated eggs as children, they would fuss and whine about having to eat all of the color-dipped creations, and I'm pretty sure they purposefully cracked a few just to make the next day's egg breakfast a little bit skimpier than it otherwise would have been. As they grew older, I began buying plastic eggs and filling them with candy and coins for the traditional morning hunt. It meant that we no longer sat down at the dining room table to dye the eggs like we did when they were smaller, but it made Easter morning all the more peaceful! Do you have any Easter egg-dying memories to share? We'd love to hear them in the comment section below!

Colonel Mustard

I've always fancied myself more of a Miss Scarlett when playing the game of CLUE — that is, until the issue of wardrobe comes up. True, the red-swathed beauty is quite stylish. But I'm much more inspired by the Colonel's name, having loved mustard yellow since before the hot dog even knew what mustard was. It's just an unexpected and warm color that instantly adds wow to any ensemble.

Please, Please, Mr. Postman

I can't tell you how beyond thrilled I was to receive a very special piece of mail today. It wasn't for an event, and it wasn't for a holiday; it was for absolutely nothing at all — just a friend letting me know how much she loves me. Simple, beautiful, and more meaningful than any of the letters people send mostly out of obligation. She wrote it out of pure joy of writing to tell me how special she thinks I am. And that, my lovelies, is a magical feeling. I intend to spread the smiles by writing back, as well as to many of my other dear friends. And I hope you join the bandwagon, too! These beautiful cards in our boutique should do the trick.

Ice Ice Baby

These cute little cubes are the perfect mix of winter and spring, and they're a great way to cure some of that spring fever that's hitting everybody! Just be sure to use edible flowers only, darlings. I don't want to be responsible for bringing on actual fevers!

Jaw Dropping

You guys know how much I love Anthropologie, and I try not to post too much about it (otherwise we might as well call this Anthropologie Charmed), but I just couldn't help myself after seeing this stunning gown on their inspiration board. I think my jaw literally hit the keyboard. It was either that, or the loud thud was my heart stopping. Isn't it gorgeous?

Joyous Circle

"She smiled in remembrance. 'I still come here a lot. Whenever life gets overwhelming, I just sit here and watch it go around. It takes me back to when the most difficult decision I had was figuring out how to make the quarters last until Dad came back. [...] Maybe I like carousels because they're so constant. They always go to the same place. And they never change. You know, I've probably ridden every animal on there." — from Richard Paul Evans' The Carousel

Spring Forward

We know it's those April showers that bring May flowers, but can we help the fact that we're a tad bit impatient and want to get to the good part, like, now?! It's partially because these pink blooms are utterly fantastic. But it's mostly because we've been working hard at putting together our annual April In Paris event, and it's got us dreaming of all the spectacular spring splendor to be found in Europe's sexiest little country. So that means it's official: We've been hit with a serious case of spring fever!

Bubbles And Baubles

There's just something so special and chic about having a chandelier in the bathroom. I went to a friend's apartment for the first time this past weekend, and I was so in awe over the fact that her small, one-bedroom rental had a gorgeous, bejeweled lighting fixture hanging slightly to the side of her tub. I couldn't stop looking, almost as if I were in a trance. But can you blame me? I've always wanted that girly touch of whimsy during my bath time, but I've never lived in quite the right place for it. And she somehow just lucked out with a temporary rental that included the romantic fixture — and it wasn't even something she was looking for! Some girls have all the luck!
