Whims-egg-al Easter

Some of my fondest memories of Easter are sitting at the dining room table with my girls, dipping eggs into small tea cups filled with purple, pink and blue-dyed water. Since both hated eggs as children, they would fuss and whine about having to eat all of the color-dipped creations, and I'm pretty sure they purposefully cracked a few just to make the next day's egg breakfast a little bit skimpier than it otherwise would have been. As they grew older, I began buying plastic eggs and filling them with candy and coins for the traditional morning hunt. It meant that we no longer sat down at the dining room table to dye the eggs like we did when they were smaller, but it made Easter morning all the more peaceful! Do you have any Easter egg-dying memories to share? We'd love to hear them in the comment section below!

Flower Power

What a fun way to display Easter flowers! I'd love to see one of you design something with these new pink hydrangeas we just got in at the French Charmed boutique. Très Magnifique!

Eggstra Special

I can't tell you guys how impressed I am with this super special, super affordable and super simple way to share the magic of Easter with your friends and loved ones. I'm so eggstatic to get started on a message of my own. :)

Directions (via ohparty.net):

1. Empty a raw egg by making two small holes in the opposite corners using a needle. Be patient, but if you encounter any trouble, you can carefully try making the holes bigger, being careful not to crack the shell.

2. When it's completely empty, wash the egg gently to remove any excess yolk and let dry.

3. Paint the outside of the egg with plastic paints or watercolors.

4. While the paint dries, write out a message on a thin strip of paper, roll up and gently push it through the largest egg hole.

5. Gently wrap it in a box and surprise your someone special!
